Who has fifty Twitter followers? I do, I do! (insert Eddie Murphy: Delirious: Ice cream skit here (click to watch Youtube video) Yeah, it's like that. One small (insignificant) step for the wonderful world of Twitter but a flattering milestone for me.
Imagine how ecstatic I'll be when I finally get a blog follower. Any takers? Come on, rock my world!

Another late night...
What I'm listening to:
Kings of Leon: Pyro. Watch the video on youtube
Quotes to live by: "You should always be well and bright, for so you do your best work; and you have so much beautiful work to do. The world needs it, and you must give it! "
Marie Corelli
I was up til 3am on an exhausting editing run and couldn't manage to get more than a few hours of sleep. Not without trying, trust me I tried, I just couldn't. Now I've been glued to my laptop like a blog junkie for the better part of the day whilst wishing I was back in bed. I managed to update the "More About Me" page and made a second attempt to edit the agent hunting page but for some reason I can't get edits to save. I don't import from msword so I didn't have back up copies of my edits which forced me to start from scratch twice (grrr, insert angry face). I feel like crap and according to Marie Corelli's above quote, I should not be writing. I'm not admitting defeat but I am going to attempt to take a nap, we'll see how it goes.

Things that make me go...hmmm?
I don't understand why people saying things like "I hate it when a new author says their literary work is their baby, novels are not children." I think the opposite is true. How are they not your babies? Every novel I ever write will be my baby, under my protective wing of sorts. I will always foster and shepherd them just like I do my actual children. You are creating, giving life to, giving birth to, ideas that if well constructed, rock worlds, create legends, and gather many followers. I’m sorry but if it’s not to be considered 'your baby', what do you call it? I’m open to opposing arguments because I'd like someone to shed an intellectual light on this?
Back to Friday...
This is continued from Friday night. I said I would come back to it and I am a big promoter of follow through.
Advisory: The following is unrelated to writing and probably not suitable for all audiences but too funny not to share.
When presented with the topic of bedroom toys (giggle, giggle) a close friend of mine said and I quote (giggle, giggle)..."Some things are not meant for the garage sale" I was literally rolling on the floor laughing. No, not laughing gasping for air. Really, who would do such a thing? Gross! Just goes to show, it's the unexpected things that make laughter so enjoyable folks. Stay random. XO

Paying it forward
So I didn't come back to blog last night but I should have. I had some good stuff but we'll talk about that later. I have more important matters. For a newb, the twitter world has been kind to me. I was tweeted about yesterday. So funny are the things that make your ego a little taller.
Here is the tweet:
2bwriters@jenkaybooks gets a #ff AND #mmdot because she's new to blogging & tweeting & seems so determined/earnest/endearing.
I laugh because I knew it was a compliment but I had no idea what the hashtags meant. After googling them (I love to google) the sweetest happy tears came. I'm talking raw emotion people. There is just something so innocent about a genuine, unsolicited compliment. 2bwriters confirmed for me that there was some goodness left in this world and for that I thank them from the bottom of my heart. They have a website for writers (awesome stuff) check it out http://wewantedtobewriters.com/
Who has a big smile and a taller ego? This girl. XO

I think I'm calling it a day?
That's enough blogging for now but I may be back later. Hence, the "?" Get it? Got it? Good! I got things to do but I'll see ya'll later! XO
It’s all about the details baby!
Thanks to http://jennifer-daiker.blogspot.com/ Blog titled: Unedited she posted “For the perfect mood” dated 7/29/11. Her post posed an interesting question on how you get in the mood to write and for me well, it reminded me how new I am to the blogosphere and how much I still have to learn.
I had to comment on her post and here is my reply:
That is so funny. I just blogged about my all night writefest but didn't think to go into the specific details. Point for you! I totally over looked it. I tell ya, it’s all about the details.
Here’s how I conquer the pen: Lights off. I prefer only the light from the laptop screen and the TV at my back, it’s turned on but the volume is muted. Headphones on, music playing (rock, pop, feel good stuff, or metal) I just lose myself in it...music can be a writers’ bestie, for real. I’m enjoying your blogs. Rock on girl.
XO
Twitter is fun, tweets today are making me laugh.
Blogger is fun, I've read two awesome blogs today (see who I'm following)
On a personal note, my husband is watching Jersey Shore Season 2 and laughing his bum off.
My ultimate goal today: Surround myself with fun and LOL all day. Shine on!
P.S. Sleep does wonders! Get some :)

Epic writefest last night
What I'm listening to: Various artist playlist (Linkin Park, Paramore, KOL, MGMT)
I frequently write at night. The house is quiet and there are few distractions. Before long the night ran away with me. I became mesmerized by the soft glow of the laptop screen like a moth to a flame. It lasted too long and I was spent. My first subtle hint was misspelling common words. Then, I started switching the first and last letters of words. Wow, sleep deprivation can sure take it's toll on the brain. As much as I hated leaving a chapter unfinished, I had too. I could not longer write in this zombie-like state. So, today after getting much needed sleep I reviewed my work. I found that I'm left with tons of great pages (& a jacked up neck) but I'm glad I stopped when I did. Who knows what the zombieme would have written. Maybe that would make for an interesting story...I'm always open to new ideas!XO
